• Preparatin Codelab for The 1st Global Voice & Travel Hackathon – Hong Kong Round
This AoG codelab is preparation workshop for the participants joining The 1st Global Voice & Travel Hackathon – Hong Kong Round(Register hackathon https://gdghk2019-aoghackathon.eventbrite.com). In this codelab, attendants will have a basic understanding of Actions on Google and will be able to create an APP for the Google Assistant.
Some seats are available for non-hackathon participants, you may consider to register the hackathon after this codelab event.
• What we’ll do
This time we will briefly go through the basic of Action of Google and Google Assistant, then we will do the code lab level 2 & 3. You’ll learn how to deploy a NodeJS AoG project to Firebase, define Dialogflow custom entities, request permission to s user information, store user preference and data in session or cross-conversations, handle user silence and cancellations, respond user with sound effects and visual responses.
• Google Assistant Developer Community Program
To encourage attendants to build great Google Assistant apps, Google(not GDG Hong Kong) has offered a developer community program. For all developers(not only attendants of this event) who submitted an eligible app to Google Actions directory before Sept 30, 2019 at 11:59 PM (PST) and successfully approved by Google, will get a Google Assistant t-shirt + cloud credits for a year, and may get a Google Home device for further checkpoint achieved. • What to bring
**Must bring a laptop** (PC, Mac or Chromebook)! The labs will run on all of the latest versions of the popular browsers. For the best experience, make sure your laptop has Chrome installed.
